Mastering Pain, Adversity, and Fear
How many of you have you “someday list”? It’s a list of things you’ll do someday.
Things like:
- “Someday I’ll lose weight and get in shape”
- “Someday I’ll go on that vacation I’ve always dreamed about”
- “Someday I’ll have kids”
- “Someday I’ll start that business”
And on and on it goes until you’re past 60 and “someday” has turned into “never”.
I understand how it happens and so does my guest on this week’s podcast, Sam Pond.
Sam is a Men’s Coach for Brian Begin’s “The Fearless Man” group and a personal friend of mine.
He’s helped hundreds of Men find themselves and stop making excuses about getting their lives in order. He helps them understand that THEY are in control of their lives and can make decisions on what they want their reality to look like.
Sam speaks to us today about finally making the decision to hike the John Muir Trail, a 200+ mile long trail that stretches from Yosemite Valley to Mount Whitney. It has always been on his “Someday List” of things he’s always wanted to do.
But how did he get from “Someday” to “I’m Doing This!”?
In the podcast we will discuss how he mastered pain, adversity, and fear on the trail and the mind-blowing realizations that he came to. These are things that YOU can use in Your Life to overcome anything that is holding you back.
Furthermore, we speak on how to Shift Your Mindset about Aging and why life Does Not Stop after 65. Not only does it keep going, but we shared with You how to Thrive!
This is a podcast that Everyone needs to listen to, as we are all getting older and Sam knows how to keep You alive, invigorated, thriving, and even dating younger women, well past 60.

Sam Pond
I love coaching men. As I’m on a journey to be a powerful and free man in my life, I help men embrace power and freedom in their own. I help them to feel deeply, to love where they’re at in the moment and then naturally glide into action.
I’ve had amazing coaches and mentors on this journey. I’ve learned about intimacy and deep self-love from Arica Angelo. Grounding and feeling from Brian Begin and Fearless. Scandalous sexuality from Johnny Soporno. And living a life of romance, seduction and adventure from Zan Perrion. (All of whom I recommend highly.) Today, aside from my own coaching, I’m also a coach for Brian and The Fearless Man.
In my past, I’ve been a Shakespearean actor, an award-winning writer and director in advertising, a playwright and screenwriter. I’ve traveled to over 50 countries, hiked and climbed mountains all over the world, fly-fished big rivers, was married for 15 years and have a 21 year-old son. I still teach acting and writing and volunteer at yoga events. Today, I bring all of these experiences to my true passion - helping set men free.
If you too are looking for more flow in your life, let’s talk! A lot of people have felt some cool shifts after one call!
